Below is a video teaser for Rewind to the 90s, a short-run, experiential pop-up in Los Angeles. Huge thanks to Kevin Hsu for filming the video, Jon Kobryn for his editing, and the team behind Rewind to the 90s for the opportunity to experience and record.

The 90s were a time ripe with nostalgia. Whether you were glued to a CRT monitor playing Oregon Trail, listening to Nirvana and TLC on your new CD player, or falling in love with Jordan Catalano from My So-Called Life, most of us have fond memories of those times. To celebrate the global launch of the New Balance X-90 Knit, a new sneaker that blends 90s flair with current style, Footlocker and New Balance have teamed up to open Rewind to the 90s, a pop-up experience in Los Angeles. But for those of us with more immersive leanings, they have brought in fan-favorite, Metaforyou, to craft an experience for fans looking to go a bit deeper. So come for the memories, but stay for the interactivity.

Rewind to the 90s Details

In celebration of the global launch of the New Balance X-90 Knit, a sneaker that combines the best of the 90s with 2018 street style, Foot Locker and New Balance today announce their plans to open a “Rewind to the 90s” Pop-Up Shop in Los Angeles. The experiential Foot Locker store, located at 939 Studio, will be free and open to the public daily from 12-7 p.m. from Aug. 10-14, 2018.

Designed by Stadium Status Group to be a fully immersive experience, the pop-up will take its visitors back in time to interact with decade-relevant products, music, TV and fashion. The series of themed spaces include a Koosh ball pit, Nickelodeon Double Dare photo moment, a SNICK Lounge and a throwback bedroom. Visitors of the 90’s pop up will have the unique opportunity to step inside a capture studio and be transformed into holograms. Upon exiting the room, each guest will be able to view their 90’s themed hologram projected into custom-designed holographic displays.

For bookings and upcoming projects, you can contact Metaforyou on their website here, on FacebookTwitter, or on Instagram.
