In the sixty-minute phone call that is “Fragile Recall,” famed psychic Genesis Mahabini claims she can help you chat up your previous incarnation. Irene is trapped in Caracas, kidnapped by corrupt police; she’s found herself a mobile phone but now she needs your help to escape. But will your Google-fu and your attempts to help her keep her cool be enough to get her out of mortal peril in time?

“The Girl On The Phone” is a 60-90 minute immersive experience, a set of texts and phone calls between you and a kidnapped tourist with a scavenged mobile phone. Over the course of the experience, you’ll use the resources you have on hand to help Irene escape her captors and comfort her in the midst of a crisis.

Magic is real. You know this because you have just been telephoned by a hyperactive gremlin who is shouting about witches. According to the gremlin, you are his only hope for escaping baleful captivity. But his instructions are bizarre, to say the least…

“Gremlin!” is a 20-minute magical adventure that takes place over text message and phone. Help out a hyperactive gremlin, discover a secret world of witchcraft and if you’ve got a mind for it, learn some magic…

On Saturday, May 1st at 8 PM EDT, wander the winding paths of The Lost Garden as we reveal secrets and stories told through original performances by over 50 first-rate immersive artists. There will be new faces, familiar faces, and, of course, delightful surprises along the way. We promise you’ll get lost, and if you’re very lucky, you might be found.

This event is the spectacular culmination of Lost Immersive’s fundraising efforts to support immersive arts workers that began last fall with The Lost Halloween. Tickets to The Lost Garden are free so reserve yours today.

This is a live Zoom event, and you can experience it however you’re most comfortable. Camera-on is optional, the chat will be open, your best garden party attire is suggested (and may be rewarded), bring your own libations. Tickets are per screen, so multiple people who ae sharing a screen only need to reserve one ticket.

For hundreds of years, the Fair Folk have run the Midnight Market, selling curses, charms and cloaks of dreams to those unwise enough to buy. Now, though, they’ve discovered time zones and telephones, and are bringing the Midnight Market to you. If they’ve called you, they’re sure to have your heart’s desire…only the question remains: what will you sell in exchange?

Telemarketing has never been so intriguing: “The Midnight Market” is a 45-minute experience done entirely over the phone.

Your friend Alex needs your help — her cousin Karen has jumped on the anti-vaxxer bandwagon and is now refusing to inoculate her kid. And Alex can’t get through to her — but due to an incident involving leg injuries and hot chocolate, Karen really likes *you.* So Alex has asked you to help talk her around. But when even the truth is politicized, how do you persuade a relative or friend on the other side of the line?

“The Other Side Of The Line” is a 30-45 minute immersive experience, a phone call between you and your fictional friend Alex’s “cousin Karen.” Over the course of a phone call, you’ll have the chance to engage with Karen’s beliefs, and perhaps even persuade her to engage with yours. An exercise in patience and empathy, this experience focuses on interacting with harmful perspectives in a constructive way.

There’s been a murder in Outpost Omicron, the US Navy’s underwater base, and you’re the consulting detective who’s been called in to solve it. Literally “called” — you’ve got 90 minutes on the phone to interview the crew before atmospheric conditions disconnect you. There’s gossip to sort through, a blueprint to peruse, and camera footage (which of course they can’t send you). The scientists and crewmembers are counting on you: can you find the murderer in time?

“Outpost Omicron” is a 90-minute experience done entirely by phone.

Pictures of Gwen is an adventure through an enchanting West Country city, Torstow, alongside young artist Gwen and the strange friends she meets along the way. It is a magical realist narrative delivered as an online immersive experience and Alternate Reality Game (ARG).

In the not-quite-shadow of a cyclopean tower that can only be seen through the corner of the eye, Gwen travels on the ley lines where mythology, art and modernity meet. As she journeys Gwen will depict her findings on Instagram, drawing her audience into a labyrinth of mystery and intrigue.

Pictures of Gwen will play out on social media accounts and a network of in-world websites, each presenting storylines, characters, mysteries and puzzles to be investigated. The history, identity and modern reality of Torstow will be explored through its art, architecture and its inhabitants; strange and wonderful as they may be.

The Secret Library: Escape Atlantis is a virtual escape room for a max of 8 players. While the Secret Library: Origins experience is more considered immersive theatre, Escape Atlantis is a traditional escape room with challenging puzzles and a unique storyline within the Secret Library narrative universe. This experience ventures beyond the common videoconferencing experience to include an integrated floorplan to encourage immersion and autonomy. Search for clues and work collaboratively as you uncover the mysteries surrounding this ethereal realm of knowledge. This experience utilizes interactive features to bring you into the story even before the event even begins.

The Secret Library is a digital performance combining live actors with escape-room like elements. This experience ventures beyond the common videoconferencing experience to include an integrated “stage” to encourage immersion. Search for clues, question characters with suspicious intentions, and work collaboratively as you uncover the mysteries surrounding this ethereal realm of knowledge. This experience utilizes fully interactive features to bring you into the story even before the event even begins.

1960 – The Cold War rages on. The intelligence agencies of the great powers play an endless game of spy and counter-spy, trying to learn one another’s secrets, trying to sabotage one another’s plans.

Want to learn litform larping? Take our tutorial to learn how to larp with prewritten setting and characters. You’ll read the literature, spend an hour learning one-on-one with a facilitator, then another hour taking part in Debrief, a deeply compelling Cold War ghost story. Do you dare open yourself to such an experience?

A litform larp is a larp where players portray pre-generated characters. This may sound more intimidating than freeform larps (larps where players play characters largely or wholly self-generated) but it turns out that pouring yourself into a character pre-written by an experienced author is one of the most amazing, liberating experiences available. In a baldfaced attempt to make this experience available to more people, Mirror World Creations has built a litform larp tutorial for those who would like to learn to larp in the literary style.

No previous larping experience is necessary!

In our tutorial, you and a faciliator will prepare for — and play — our two-player larp, Debrief. Debrief is a one-hour litform larp written specifically for videochat; it is a Cold War ghost story about spies, spirit mediums, betrayal, grief and loss. Before the tutorial begins, our facilitator will reach out to you with a brief questionnaire; answering the questionnaire will let the facilitator “cast” you in Debrief, while also giving them a sense of your larping comfort levels. Post-questionnaire, your facilitator will send you up to 30 pages of reading — this is your homework! You’ll need to read all the documents your facilitator sends you besfore you start the tutorial.
The tutorial itself will last two hours. For the first forty-five minutes, the facilitator will guide you as you get into character and learn the ins and outs of litform larping. Then comes the game — Debrief, which will last not more than one hour. Finally, you and your facilitator will debrief Debrief; talk about your feelings, your experience, and what the larp meant to you.
